Hi fellow travel geeks! Welcome to my travel blog.     

I’m Veronika, a Czech 🇨🇿 girl residing in the beautiful city of Prague and exploring the world whenever possible.

Since the launch of TravelGeekery in April 2014 I’ve built a rich collection of travel articles covering the following themes:

• Cities across the world, with a focus on Europe
• Off the beaten path destinations
• Nature adventures
• General travel tips
• Local tips from Prague and the Czech Republic

I consider myself somewhere between a budget backpacker and a luxury traveler. When I travel I like to blend in with locals, which is why I usually stay at Airbnb apartments. Hostels can be done if a country is especially expensive (looking at you, Iceland!) And sometimes, but not too often, I can even pitch a tent. Like in Montenegro.

One thing you should know about this blog is that every article was written by someone who visited the place highlighted in the article (that someone being usually me). So you can rest assured that you won’t find a post that hasn’t been personally experienced and thoroughly researched.

I sincerely hope the content in this blog will inspire you to travel to places near and far and that you’ll find the information useful.
